It would be nice for the modules in the analysis tab to be prefiltered based on the LC modules that are turned on in the project level.
As a user, sometimes when I am using the Revit plugin, I might not be able to find a suitable match for some family types. Instead of stopping the whole process of mapping in order to create these templates, it would be good if I could choose a
A multi-disciplinary approach for undertaking LCA in eToolLCD. With increased awareness around climate emergency more engineering disciplines decide to look into how to reduce the whole life impacts of their discipline. By allowing the various disciplines like Architects, Structures, MEP etc to maintain their own part of the LCA model would lead in better collaboration […]
It would be good if when linking a Revit model, a basic 3D view of the model was also imported in eToolLCD so that users can inspect and visualise the results using the model.
The Revit models usually include numerous families and family types some of which are not relevant with the LCA scope. As a user I will probably leave this unmatched. It would be good if eToolLCD could feed back to Revit all unmatched family types and highlight them in a dedicated view for the user to […]
As an eToolLCD user I might not have immediate access to the live, central Revit models. Instead eToolLCD users are usually consultants who are issued versions of the Revit models and hence a live, constant link between Revit and eToolLCD is not possible. To overcome this, it would be great, if the Revit coordinators could […]
It would be nice to have the option to create templates that as an input get more than one parameter(currently the functional unit is the only input parameter). This way it would make it much simpler to model various constructions and render unnecessary the need for multiple templates describing similar constructions. For example there could […]
As a user I need to find the most suitable template that can represent the element I want to model in the fastest and easiest way. Currently the search for templates primarily relies on the name given to the template and secondarily on the description where the user reads what are the material and layers […]
As a user sometimes I need to use templates to model elements of a category other than the one assigned to a template’s materials. It would be useful if I could change the category of all materials of a template by assigning a category to the template itself. This for example would allow me to […]
A graphical representation of the results back in Revit to help the user do a quick hot spot analysis.
As a user I want to be able to used EPDs in my LCA analyses without losing on accuracy and detail even when the specific EPD I want to use has not declared some stages like A4, A5, C etc. A solution to this would be for eToolLCD to move from the exact EPDs or […]
It would be useful to have a “Results” page where all graphs, charts and tables live and can easily be accessed instead of having to create a report to see them.
eToolLCD has a unique structure which shares a lot of characteristics with BIM tools. Taking advantage of this, eToollCD could integrate an interoperability feature for Dynamo which could enable a user to receive, inspect and change all data of an LCA model in Dynamo.
In cases where templates have to be replaced with others, especially when it comes to nested templates where the same template can be found in multiple instance in a model, it would be good if this could be done through the bulk swap function.
This would work in a similar way as Kinship for Revit where the user selects if they want to sync a project’s content with their organisation’s library. In the case of eToolLCD, there could be an option for syncing all templates, recommendations etc with the users organisation’s library.
