Why the recommendations is showing a 0 % savings against the benchmark

  • This query came through from one of our users so I thought I’d post it for everybody’s benefit:

Do you know why the recommendations is showing a 0 % savings against the benchmark despite the negative values under initial, GWP and life time? I have checked that the base design model is the reference model that we cloned the below example from.

    Hi,

Not sure but these are the two best explanations:

    • The operational impacts are so dominant that there’s no significant saving (<0.5% which rounded to zero)
    • The “Benchmark” hasn’t been selected on the design details tab, see screenshot for this location:Screen Shot of Benchmark Selection Within Design

    Hope that helps,

Please note that the software has been updated so that you’re now able to select a different benchmark for each function in the design. This is so that mixed use buildings will be able to compare each function/area with the appropriate benchmark. Therefore, in order to define the benchmark in your design, you will now need to specify that in the ‘Function‘ tab of the design.
