Organisations Motivation (why we need this feature): Enables organisation specific (potentially confidential) information to be held in confidence (not made public) whilst still enabling sharing of templates between users within an organisation. This would provide a middle ground between the private (personal) library and the public library., Which regions need the feature?: Global, Which projects types does the feature support?: Buildings, Infrastructure, Fit Outs, Landscaping, Other, Which ratings systems require the feature?: None,

As an enterprise user, I want to be able to share templates with other members of my organisation and assign ownership of templates to my organisation.

This has been requested again by a client. The other benefit is to enhance BIM integration with more internal templates to choose from. Have to account for the risk of using non-validated templates, and potential additional time to adjust things with those templates during the review process with eTool.

I think we need to make it easily identifiable when these internally shared templates are being used for review purposes. Perhaps some kind of colour coding or update to the completion report?

Yes, I think that would be a very good idea Marios! Currently, we’ve had to clone a design to a new project and then change the inputs… of course this isn’t the best way to go about things but has been the most time efficient method so far

Also, an option to “Add in my library” would be useful in cases where users have access to colleagues’ designs and need to use the custom templates of that design elsewhere.

    Great idea!

Especially where clients may specify the same element build ups across their portfolio, having the templates shareable amongst colleagues (but not to the rest of the eTool users) could be very useful to guarantee speedy turnarounds even when someone is on holiday for example
