Group or add templates by category. Instead of having a list of all templates used in a project it would be nice to break this list down by element category like walls, floors, windows, doors. foundation, roof or similar. This will make it easier to read the templates and understand what each of this corresponds to.
Within our organisation, we’ve added this to our template name, using abbreviations such as Fl for floors, Ro for roof and so on. Below is an example:
Fl_RC40 precast concrete (unreinforced)
That way, we can search for templates by element category by inputting “fl_” into the search bar and all floor templates we’ve created with this naming sequence will appear!
