When importing a template from Revit or CSV you might find out that something is wrong in either the quantity or the unit or simply you are not sure what is the best match. In this case it would be good if you could have a “Match Later” option. This would add a dummy/empty template in the project waiting to be either changed or have its quantity changed. This would work best if the following feature was also implemented with an addition of a “Change” option in the drop down list.
Sorry, I forgot to provide the link to the extra feature I refered to.

So I am talking about adding a “Match Later” option in the matching step of the import process AND allow templates to be simply replaced in the project space later. So the process is 1) I am not sure about the best match of an element I imported so I set it to “Match Later”, 2) The software adds a dummy template which could have the same name as the imported element, the same value and unit as the imported element and is highlighted somehow that it is pending matching with a proper template, 3) When I know which template I should use, I click an “actions” or “options” button which could be where the “edit” button is right now for each template, 4) A drop down list opens and I select “Change”, 5) I select the appropriate template while the unit and value of the dummy template stay the same.
I hope this makes better sense now. 😉
Just to clarify this one Leo, is this feature request to effectively have an additional option “Change” in the dropdown that differentiates items that should be deliberately “ignored” vs need changing later?
