Overview
You can now register and login into eTool using your Microsoft or Google email accounts.
Note : Once you have activated Single Sign On (SSO), you will need to submit a Support Request if you wish to deactivate this.
Setup
For Individual Users
- Navigate to your personal profile by click on your profile name in the top right hand corner of the eTool dash.
- In the ‘My Info’ tab you should already be able to see the ‘Single Sign On Method’ field.
- Click on the drop down menu for ‘Single Sign On Method’.
- Select your preferred sign on method (Google or Microsoft).
- Click ‘Save’ to update.
For Organisation-wide Implementation
To implement SSO at an organisation-wide level, you will need the Organisation Admin to activate this. The org admin can then use your domain name to enforce the whole organisation to register and login via Microsoft or Google.
You can access this security setting through the Organisation portal.
- Navigate to your Organisation’s portal.
- Click on the ‘Edit Security’ tab in the left side menu.
- Click on the drop-down menu for ‘Force Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication Type’.
- Select your preferred login method (Google or Microsoft).
- Click ‘Save’ to update.
Implementation
Once the SSO has been activated. Your eTool sign-in page will look something like this depending on whether Google or Microsoft has been chosen. The example below is for Google login.
